Plant Hire

Hunter Clark Plant and Transport Department is responsible for the provision and maintenance of the Company's plant, transport and equipment.

The Department moved to Rutherglen in the nineteen seventies to accommodate the expansion and upgrading programme of the Company and the location is ideally suited to service the Strathclyde are allowing a response time of up to two hours maximum for delivery or a service call to be achieved.

Hunter Clark sites are serviced with mechanical plant from tower cranes to excavators, forklift trucks to access platforms and cement mixers to small hand tools delivered to locations by one of their own vans or lorries.

The trained and dedicated mechanics service Hunter Clark's vehicles, plant and equipment as well as the manufacturing equipment in the Masonry and Joinery workshops.

Modern computerised controls are in place to monitor all aspcts of the Department.

An external hire service, at competitive rates, is available to other contractors, subcontractors to Hunter &Clark and other plant hirers.

The Department is a member of the Scottish Plant Owners Association and conforms to all requirements regarding Health and Safety.
